JLE704 Inorganic zinc silicate shop primer

Introduction 2K inorganic zinc silicate shop primer comprising alkyl silicate,
zinc powder and additives, etc.
Applications Applicable    to    the    steel    pretreating    line    for    shipbuilding,
heavy-duty machinery plant and steel structure processing, used as
primer.
Properties Zinc powder shows good cathodic protection and rust resistance,
additionally, shows good thermal resistance up to 400 ℃    and
maintenance period within 6~9 months when the dry film thickness
(DFT) is 20μm, small area ruined upon welding or cutting, excellent
low temperature curing performance, solvent resistance, impact
resistance, wearability and moderate flexibility.

Application
conditions
The substrate temperature≥ 5℃ and at least 3℃ higher than the dew
point of the air temperature; The temperature and relative humidity
shall be measured nearby the substrate to be coated;     relative
humidity ≤ 85%;Good ventilation is required useful for film drying
process.
Typical coating
compatibility
Good compatibility with other coatings system based on chlorinated
rubber, epoxy, epoxy asphalt, polyurethane and ethylene; avoid
matching with coatings based on oil, alkyd, polyester.
Storage The product must be stored under standard conditions as described
by related state regulations, wherein the environment must be dry,
cool, well ventilated and away from heat and/or fire. The packaging
containers must be kept sealed.

Health  and safety Please note the warning logo labeled on packaging container and
operate in a circumstance with good ventilation, avoid swallowing
or inhaling paint mist, avoid skin contact or use suitable detergent,
soap and water to clean immediately if the paint splashed on the skin,
and use flowing clean water to rinse eyes if splashed, or carry on

Coating intervals
at least 8 h for the shortest coating interval, Prior to coating, it is required to use wiping cloth dipped in JL107 thinner to scrub the JL704 film surface to determine whether completely cured or not. If zinc powder dissolved in cloth, it is indicated the film has not cured completely and must be driedcontinuously. If the relative humidity is lower than 70%, water should be sprayed on the surface of film, helpful for further curing and drying till the wiping cloth shows no color change subject to the film, indicating a complete cure, then the next layer can be followed. No limit is for the longest coating interval, but zinc salt must be removed from the surface before recoating.
