J53-G2 Chlorinated Rubber Iron Red Antirust Paint (Iron-red)

Composition and properties of chlorinated rubber coatings
The main component of chlorinated rubber coatings is chlorinated rubber. Chlorinated rubber is a white powder produced by reacting natural rubber or synthetic isoprene rubber with chlorine under certain conditions. This powder can be dissolved in aromatic, ester and ketone solvents into a light yellow transparent solution, the chlorine content of 64-67% as a coating, the general use of lower viscosity (10-20 centipoise) species. The molecular weight is about 54000 (10 centipoise) to 88000 (20 centipoise), and its performance is as follows:
Appearance: white powder
Toxicity: none
Lightfastness: good
Heat resistance: no burning, decomposition starts above 130°C
Chemical resistance:
Resistant to concentrated acid: still acceptable
Salt water: good
Resistant to acid: good
Strong alkali resistance: good
Resistant to alkali: good
Resistant to mineral oil: good
Although chlorinated rubber has many superior properties, but it is also brittle as a coating, must add other substances to improve its filming properties, so the composition of chlorinated rubber coatings, in addition to chlorinated rubber, also requires the addition of synthetic resin, plastic Agents, pigments and additives.
Chlorinated rubber coating is a new type of high-performance coating. It has been rapidly developed and improved in recent years. It is widely used in the field of anticorrosion and is widely used in ships, port facilities, bridge steel structures, chemical equipment, containers and cement construction, etc. . It is protected from the erosion of atmospheric seawater, chemical gases and other media to prolong the useful life of objects and provide decorative effects.
Advantages of Chlorinated Rubber Coatings
1. Easy to use: The chlorinated rubber coating is a one-component package that requires no deployment prior to use and is easy to use.
2. Fast drying: chlorinated rubber coating is solvent-vapor-soluble coating, and the solvent is evaporated after coating is dried and filmed. The surface is dry for 0.5-2 hours (25°C). The first coating can be recoated for a few hours after the first coating. General conventional paints are several times faster drying.
3. The construction is not limited by the temperature, and chlorinated rubber coatings can be applied in an environment of -15°C to +50°C.
4. Good adhesion: chlorinated rubber paint with good adhesion to the steel surface, while drying solvent in the paint film adhesion between chlorinated rubber coating impregnation can play the role, can stick each integrally with the lower layer, greatly enhanced paint Adhesion between membranes.
5. Good anti-corrosion performance: Chlorinated rubber is a kind of chemically inert resin, with good film-forming properties, low water vapor and oxygen permeability to the paint film. Therefore, chlorinated rubber coatings can withstand atmospheric moisture, corrosive gases, and the like, as well as alkali resistance, acid resistance, and seawater resistance.
6. Can be made into a thick paste type coating: chlorinated rubber paint is divided into two kinds of ordinary type and thick paste type, the latter can be coated thickly when construction, if not sprayed with high pressure air, a thick film up to about 60um, reducing the coating The number of passes provides good corrosion protection.
7. Good durability: The chlorinated rubber coating has good stability after long-term outdoor exposure, and the physical and chemical properties of the paint film are small, with good durability and weather resistance.
8. Easy maintenance: Because the chlorinated rubber coating is a solvent volatile coating, when the chlorinated rubber is repainted on the old paint film, there is still mutual solubility between the two layers of paint film, and it is not necessary to remove the solid old paint film during maintenance, such as To paint on other old patent leather, first apply a 70-III iron-red rust paint and then apply chlorinated rubber paint later.
9. With rust paint matching construction of good results: new and old steel components with heavy corrosion on the surface, the first road with a rust coating 70-T, 6-8 hours after coating (25 °C) plus second coating 70-P-4 (middle coat) can be coated with chlorinated rubber paint two hours after 12 hours. The first coat of 70-III below the general corrosion, 12 hours after coating 2-3 chlorinated rubber paint can be. Reducing the rust removal process saves man-hours and enhances corrosion protection. In the case of rust removal, H06 organic zinc-rich primer can be used, and chlorinated rubber paint base and top coat can also be used for construction. The effect is also satisfactory.
10. Has mildew resistance: Due to the high chlorine content in the paint film, the paint film is resistant to the attack of mold

Construction methods and precautions
    (1) The surface of the steel must be thoroughly cleaned before painting. (The surface of the coating with rust coating can be easily cleaned. It is required that the surface to be coated be free from rust, oil, water and dust, etc.) in order to give full play to the chlorinated rubber coating. Effect.
    (2) If the chlorinated rubber coating is used as a long-term coating for steel facilities, it is best to paint with HW inorganic zinc-rich primer, and then apply chlorinated rubber anti-rust paint. The total thickness of the thick paste coating reaches 200um. Above, to achieve excellent anti-corrosion performance.
    (3) Before the paint is used, it must be fully stirred, so that the whole barrel paint is uniform without precipitation, no color difference, and cannot be used together with the conventional paint.
    (4) The chlorinated rubber coating generally does not need to be diluted. If the dilution does not exceed 5% of the total amount of paint, GA series thinner or xylene or 200# gasoline can be used.
    (5) It is not allowed to open in the rain, snow, and fog days in the open air, and it is hot in the summer to avoid construction under strong light.
    (6) The surface of the wall should be inspected before the cement lacquer is applied. It can be applied after drying and cleaning. The first pass can be added with 10-20% thinner to facilitate the penetration of paint into the interior of the wall. Road can be.
    (7) The storage period of chlorinated rubber coatings is 12 months.
    (8) After the chlorinated rubber coating is to be dried, it shall be coated with a coating, and the coating shall be evenly coated to ensure the thickness of the paint film so as to achieve the desired anti-corrosion effect.
